Healthy Earth is a research-led environmental NGO that works to reduce plastic pollution, protect waterways and marine ecosystems, and promote sustainable environmental practices through cleanup, innovation, and education
Healthy Earth is an organisation is led by researchers with expertise in plastic pollution, particularly microplastics and nanoplastics, and works to prevent plastic waste from reaching oceans by targeting pollution at its source, especially in heavily polluted rivers. 
The NGO emphasises practical, evidence-based solutions and aligns its work with internationally recognised approaches to reducing plastic pollution.

Healthy Earth aims to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation SDG 13: Climate Action

Steve Allen is a renowned atmospheric microplastic researcher, completing his PhD which was the first to highlight the emission of atmospheric plastics from the sea. He is no stranger to the sea and has spend a lifetime afloat, working as a rigger, surveyor, shipwright and now spearheads research afloat at Healthy Earth. Steve is a qualified yacht instructor and Master of Yachts, paraglides, scuba dives, speaks several languages and is developing a global atmospheric research programme.

Liam Kelleher is an environmental research scientist with a PhD in experimental physicals and a long history of being on and in the water. He has pioneered laboratory methods and equipment for microplatic detection at the University of Birmingham and worked in both the north and south pole regions on atmospheric microplastics. A qualified yacht instructor and Master of Yachts has skippered seveal boats for marine studies, and outside of research dives a rebeather, windsurfs, sails and kitesurfs.
